How to mount a front axle

This will help you to mount your front axle whether you build it yourself or buy one that the guys are building.
When ever possibl move the front axle support close to your new axle.
After removing your old axle, get your new axle and measure to the center and mark a line on the axle beam
You will need 2 clamps, drill with either 3/8” or ½” drill bit depending on your bolt size you decide to use. I recommend ½” just for strength and locknuts. Depending on the space you have to fill either use a plate or washers to make up the thickness to fill the space. If you use washers tape them on the beam where you are going to clamp the axle, if you use a plate tape it onto the beam where you are going to want it when the axle is mounted so that you can drill hole thru it also. Slide the axle up in the frame lining the line in the center of the hole in the frame and clamp axle in place. Now drill your hole thru from front to back, if you used a plate install bolts and tighten, if you used washers remover the axle and tape the washers over the holes and put back in place, install bolts and tighten. You have now installed your front axle.
